Let's start the tour from our Pre-Columbian history talking about the Pijaos tribe, to continue with the fascinating stories about the colonization of Quindío; we will go through the 4 architectural ensemble in the municipality made of earth and ‘bahareque’ (bamboo mat walls.).
We will visit the lookout point ‘Morro Seco’, the best view of the town. And then we finish with a beer and a traditional candy in Casa Galería 1902, and visiting the beaches on the Río Lejos.
This is the best way to tour and meet one of the most beautiful and traditional towns in Colombia, heart of the Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia, and the first Slow City (CittaSlow organization) of the country.
We begin with a cultural interpretation of the museum-graphic exhibition of the Pijao community located at the entrance of the city hall.
We will walk along the Calle Real (Royal street), to visit the viewpoint ‘Escaleras’.
Then we will cross the ‘Casuarinas’ Avenue and ‘La Planta’ street.
